a/c clutch spacers ?

1995 ford aerostar . I replaced clutch and now not kicking in, need 2 know where spacer goes and how much space, the washers r different sizes? It was alaska in the winter inside van before i changed clutch,the old clutch worked but bearings were going out is all.
