High Idle 2.7

I have a 95 tacoma 2.7 with a constant high idle. When it starts up first thing it sputters for a few seconds and then catches on. If I give more gas it runs worse and sometimes stalls. As the engine warms up it runs fine except for a constant high idle about 1800 rpms. I've replaced the 02 sensors and the throttle position sensor but still no luck. I checked every possible place for a vacuum leak, but nothing. Could the cooling sensor or the air flow sensor make this happen? Any input?

Is the computer throwing out any codes?

The only codes were for the o2 sensor, now there is nothing.

I'm having a somewhat similiar problem with my 95 2.7. Mine starts up fine but until it is warmed to operating temp it will sputter and want to die when I depress the throttle. If I fan the throttle I can get it to accelerate when its cold. It doesnt have high idle problems. It only acts this way when its not fully warmed up. Try checking the IAC. It only affects the engines idle. If it is stuck open, idle speed is too high. If it is stuck closed, idle speed is too low. If it stuck in the middle, idle may be rough, and the engine won't respond to load changes. I'll be checking this next for my problem.

Cleaned out throttle body and it runs better, but still with a high idle. Is there any way to test the IAC valve?

Resistance between terminals +B and both RSC and RSO should be 17.0-24.5 ohms cold (below 122 F) and 21.5-28.5 ohms hot (above 122 F).

Valve should be closed when positive battery voltage is applied to +B terminal and negative battery voltage is applied to RSC terminal.

Valve should be open when positive battery voltage is applied to +B terminal and negative battery voltage is applied to RSO terminal.

MY 2000 2.7 has a high idle, even with the engine warm, it runs fine though, only problem is that it will go about 25mph without touching the gas if i have the a/c on, about 15mph with out a/c.

IAC working ok. Could a cracked exhaust manifold have anything to do with this high idle? It is cracked in two places. Could this give a wrong reading to the o2 sensors and create the high idle?
