I have a 1997 Grand Prix GT and I am trying to remove the cd player to put in a new one. Does anyone know how I would go about pulling out the stock one. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's real simple, just remove two screws that are located under the stering wheel and then gently pull the dask towards you to unlock about 10 little clips that hold it in place, you may not be able to removed completle, slide it to the left just enough to get to the screws that secure the stereo, then pull the stereo out and unplug it (make sure that if you have the theft system off before unplug it) and you're done!

if you don't mind: what are going to repleace it with, since i'm looking for a replacement too, but i want something with the red backgound to match the stock illumination.
ps. is your stock cd player good? will you sell it.
