Here are some pics of the progress on my Ferrari. The interior isn't complete, but the pic gives you an idea of what it will look like. The red came out really good. Now I just have to paint some areas of the body black.

The only thing that is wrong with it is that some of the pieces don't fit right.

I'll try to keep you all more informed on the progress. But right now things are slow. I still don't know what I am going to due about the missing taillight.

I have a damn 5 page paper due tomorrow so I won't be able to get back to the model till Wednesday.

snowboarder, how is your F50 coming along? I think I am going to do mine after the 512TR.

The F50 is just as the thread says. I haven't touched the F50 since then. I've been too busy with school stuff and the GNX to work on it too.

I can't either. I just wish I could build as fast as some of the people on this board.

I have a huge to-do list that might take me 5 years. (I guess it is small compared to some of the people here, but it will probably take me a while.)

It's made by Polar Lights. I have never heard of them before I got this kit.

Yesterday at Legends I got to see the first Rosso kit I've ever seen in person. Rosso is long gone; their factory burned up or something, IIRC.

It was a 512TR. ;) Anybody ever done the Rosso version? How does it stack up?

Today I put the exhaust on. It was a horrible fit. I had to put weight on top of it to keep it in place while the glue dried. I still don't know if it will stay.

I've got all of the insides done. The interior is complete and sitting on the chassis. It looks great. All that is left is the body work.

I'll get some pics up later today. I'll have to use my Quickcam, unless somebody wants to buy and send me a digital camera.:D :D But I will take better pics tomorrow with my 35MM.

Does anybody know if this kit could be converted into a regular Testarossa? Because when I got the kit, it came with two sets of wheels. One set were wider than the other. It came with three side mirrors. One of them was longer than the other two. It also came with another rear-view mirror that is plated, and what appears to be an engine cover. I am not real sure on the engine cover, so I will take pics of it, to see if anybody knows what it is. It doesn't say anything in the instructions about these parts.

Saw a 512 TR the other day..think it was a Hasegawa..

Anyhow, this thread has inspired to make that kit mine one day...plus the Fujimi Dino...Heep you bastard! :D

I can't wait to see the finished product, the progress shots were very promising.

http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/920606Picture3.JPG Where your flat-12 engine has one big suppository in the back, my Testarossa engine will have two. That's probably a remnant from their Testarossa kit.

Thanks. That is probably what all of the extra pieces were for. I also notice that in your pic the Ferrari only has one side mirror. I wonder why Ferrari only put one on their Testarossa.

Later they were replaced with two low side mirrors. My Tamiya TR kit has only one high mirror.
