newbie has dome light trouble

I just bought a 93 lumina euro with 110000 miles for my wife. the day after i bought it, i notice that the dome light and reading lights are staying on. i have been working a lot lately and havent had time to work on it. my guess is that one of the door jamb switches is bad. I am not sure how much is involved with removing the door jamb switch....
has anyone here had any experience with this type of repair?Thanks in advance.

You did make sure the dimmer control wasn't just maxxed out, didn't you?
