I have a 2000 Sierra 1500. The problem is that there is a squeeking in the steering wheel when it is turned to the left. I have a neighbor with the same year truck with the same identical problem. This sound is very annoying. Anyone have any suggestions???

Not sure if it is the same as my blazer was, but it could be the brush and slip ring for the horn. You'd have to pull the steering wheel cover off and see if that is what it is. If it is, remove the brush and lap it a bit with fine sand paper and clean the slip ring.
