none, chips are pretty much pointless on all engines unless youve done some serious mods, in which case you should just get it tuned.. dont waste your money on these "racing" chips that were made on a car once and then mass produced. dont expect that same results either, many things can change the way a car reacts to re-tuning, for example if the "racing chip" was developed in a beat up CRX at sea level, it will not have the same results if you put it in your well maintained CRX in the mountains.... save oyu $200 and put it toward a turbo.

yeah my friends all think that this wonder chip can make tons of hp out of turbo diesels and cars - there's no way you're going to make decent hp gains without either spending more than pocket change or some serious planning and tuning

i know this guy that has a gti vr6 and got it chiped and he spent big bucks on it and lost hp on the dyno. but on the other hand if you had a 300zx you could get the jim wolf chip/ecu and they do work but there way more then 200 bucks . so what im sayin is what Greenblurr93 said dont do it . just save save save

The only time chips on basically stock motors ever make a signifigant difference is on boosted motors.

All the "chips" are is a box with a resistor in it that makes you run richer.

They do more than give you more fuel. They advance timing, remove rev/speed limiter. They still suck. I got one back in the day when I first got my civic. Went through 4 dizzys. Put my stock chip back in and no problems.

I never had a problem with mine. Don't know the exact program but it raised the rev limiter and removed the speed governor. On track it cut off .5 seconds on the quarter. I bought mine from a friend, he was nice enough to let me use it for a couple of weeks to decide if I like it or not.

If you are that interested in getting a chip just save up and get the system to hook up to a laptop then you can program everything exactly to your cars needs wants and what you want to accomplish.

I say spend the money on a K&N filter. Will be a better investement and get more power off of it.

Hondata, or any other programs similar(like Uberdata, which is free). It cost more than $200 but there are lots of tuners that can tune it for you.

Well unless he has some serious mods those will still be pointless to him. What car/engine/mods are you running?

How much can dumping more fuel actually help you do you think if you don't have a cam that requires it, and a better complete exhaust system and intake system, and higher compression.. Dumping fuel just wastes fuel.

BTW - I'm calling BS on a "chip" taking .5 seconds off that one guys time..
