My 97 Expedition heater blower only works on high. Low and Medium it does not work. I replaced the motor but the same results. I did smell something burning before it quit working. Any ideas how to fix?

Yup, the resistor block is smoked. They are rather easy to replace as well.

You were correct. The part was $15.00 and it took about 5 minutes to replace. Works great. Thanks

My 05 first lost (4 speeds) 1, then 2, then 3 and now only 4 high works. So I'm guessing it is the same problem of the resistor block. Can anyone tell me where it is at for my year?

For the 05, the resistor is just above the fuse panel that is on the passenger side right floor kick panel, mounted with the blade of the circuit board going inside the main blower duct unit. It sort of lines up with the right edge of the glove box and faces the passenger compartment.
