here is a website of a company held in reno, nv. is this shyt legit? i emailed the guy and he said that it would be at your door ready and drivable.

If you look at the link for the Skylines Downunder forum, you'll see one of the names brought up as being involved is "Justin." They refer to this site, which is obviously someone involved with Japimportsusa, looks like it pays well having a carpet cleaning/import scam.

Just enter the domain you want to lookup (japimportsusa.com in this case) and it'll give you the info.

All the info was found by several different people on SDU last year when one guy claiming to work with the guy/company tried to convince us that it was a legal importer. Often these people don't realize that most Skyline owners aren't easily fooled and are a tight network.

Now it's just a matter of seeing if they'd try to import a Skyline or not. Every legit importer I ever spoke with (other then Motorex/RB Motoring) wouldn't touch a Skyline because of Motorex's confidentiality info.

SKYLINES ARE NO LONGER ELIGIBLE FOR IMPORTATION. and all those cars EXCEPT the skyline were NEVER eligible for importation. get it through your head. japimportsusa.com has been a known scam site for ages kid. dont come in here telling us what we do and dont know.

ummm....slightly less powerful? look at the current g35 (aka the v35 skyline coupe). it has 280 horsepower. still want to say slightly less powerful? that isnt even a gtr model. the infiniti GT-R is rumored to have a 3.2 litre v6 with electronically assisted twin turbos, and pushing around 450-500 horsepower.

so eaithe this can mean one of two things for nissan in 07,

1. their market will fail misurably in the U.S. and have to shut down.

for the US the cars are going to be between 60-70k. twin turboed 3.2 litre v6. the reason the old gt-r's are not street legal is mainly because they werent origionally produced for sale in the US market, so they do not meet US crash saftey standards and emissions standards.

You assume to much. First of all I'm an american who's working in the UK. I've spent 4 years in Japan and 2 here so far. I've dealt with exporting and importing many vehicles in and out of the US, Japan and the UK.
You need more then the two items you claim to LEGALLY get a vehicle through US Customs. You also need a Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin or a previous US state title. Without either of those, it has to go through and RI. Additionally, if you have the Cert. of Origin, you have to have the Emissions Certificate also.

ANY, Right sided vheicles are ILLEGAL in the U.S. unless the automotive manufacturer has PERSONALY got it aproved by the secretary of state and U.S. Vheicle inspectors to have that vheicle in the states. That is also the same with vheicles that have KM/H speedometers only. And as my understanding goes, from parking cars at a race track that deals a lot with import cars, the only ones that i have ever seen with right side positioned steering wheels are VW's. NO Japanese auto manufacturer.

I highly doubt you have a Certificate of Origin, considering those are only issued for US Spec car destined to be shipped to the US.

The other thing is, without a specific statement, the Certificate of Origin still isn't enough to avoid an RI or illegal import.

I don't doubt that you have these vehicles in the US, or that you have a US title, like I said, most state DMV's will issue a title for anything, they're stupid.

My point is, the cars are illegal, just like a Skyline imported without going through an RI. You can argue that all you want, but if they are not on NHTSA/DOT's import list, they are illegal.
