Tokico suspension

Im planning on putting Tokico HP struts and Tokico lowering springs on my 94 prelude. Is the ride going to be really rough?

Do it I have those in my car...tokicos hp struts and lowering springs. It doesn't drop the car that much, but it looks nice anyways and you ride is not going to be that rough... :-) how much are you going to pay for it?

i don't kno how much to install but i found the hp struts and the springs for under $450 on modacar.com

I bought my for $357. (I installed it myself, pretty easy if you have the tool).

but i dont kno if im gonna install it myself. I dont wanna buy the suspension package and try to put it in myself cuz if i screw it up then its a waste of time and maybe money

I bought my HP kit on ebay for $359.00 shipped. The ride was fantastic compared to the cheap coils I had on before

Technically it should be the same height. You should get tires on your 17's the keep the same outside diameter so that your speedometer and tach aren't thrown off.

My Neuspeed springs dropped my car 1 3/4" in front and 1 1/2" in back and I know I need a camber kit. The car handles very nicely but the tires get squirrelly very easily because they aren't sitting perfectly flat against the road - a camber kit will correct that.

If you're still concerned about how rough the ride will be you should get the Tokico adjustables - that way you control how firm or soft the ride is.

The flash makes the gap in the wheelwell stand out more - in normal lighting it looks really good - like there's absolutely no gap. I haven't had any major problems with clearance, but obviously large potholes/dips have to be taken slowly.

I don't know if it's just my imagination but it feels like my car drops a little lower when I set the adjustable shocks to a firmer setting.

It doesn't drop the car that much, maybe 1"...."1.5 is BS". I have HP Tokicos on my car and it looks very nice. But I dunno how good these are for NYC, I saw the streets around manhattan, and let me tell u something, u shouldn't get tokicos...maybe some Ranchos 5000. jejeje....

ok i didnt know how much it was gonna drop the car. Thanks for the info. When i said i live in nyc, i should have said i live in a borough of the city. I just wanted to make sure im not gonna drop my car too low. one inch doesnt seem that much lowe. Correct me if im woring (seriously correct me.)

how well does it improve the handling? i raced a neon today that had only intake an almost bald tires... an it left me in the turns. i couldnt take them fast or else it would ass out too much or i'd go into the opposite lane. my suspension is shot an lowered itself a couple inches. how much of a difference would it make installing the Tokicos?

I had Tokico Illuminas an my Integra before it was stolen and i loved them. I also put on a set of Tein S-Tech springs at the same time. The ride was rougher but the handling changed immensley. I would recommend that you most definately do the mod, and yes it will allow you to run faster through turns whoever was talking about the neon....i cant believe you lost to a neon..... :nono: Anyway dont worry about the clearance. If you want to minimize the roughness of the cars ride stay away from the really low profile tires. 16" wheels will provide to with better handling anyway.....
