I heard people get a extra boost when they double clutch at the launch.
I want to know how to do it right and which cars can do it.

double clutching is not for your car. Double clutching is for older cars without synchros, they used to have to rev match in order to shift gears, now we have synchros and it is no longer necessary.

Rev your engine to a good launch point then dump the clutch - if your engine doesn't have enough power to pull the car out of the launch then your RPMs will drop out of the powerband (the RPM range where your engine makes the most power). Clutching/dumping again after you launch (not really a double-clutch, just a clutch/dump) will raise the RPM's back into the powerband, giving the effect of a "second launch".

It works for severely underpowered cars - but feathering is a better technique (letting the clutch slip just enough to keep the RPM's in the powerband, just not enough to break the tires loose). Feathering requires finesse.

Rev matching, and synonymously double clutching, are for twisties, rather than straightline acceleration. They are downshift forms.

HMMM interesting never knew what dbl clutching was so Vin Diesel's comment on fast and furious was B.S. Huh you know the one "Granny shifting and not dbl clucthing like you shoulda. LOL!! SO apparently he didn't know what the HELL!! he was talking about. LOL!!
