My car squeaks in reverse... very faint, doesnt sound like brakes, they are not depressed when the noise happens... and it doesnt stop when I push on the pedal. Also, I think I have a heat shield rattle... get about three metalic clangs when I punch it, and only sometimes... just your standard sheild rattle. I dont like sounding like a pontiac. I have searched all over this board and no dice. One post got close but before an answer could be posted, a mod shut it down cause they were fighting. :( Any tips on either?

Id like to add this to my ABS relay issue, and power antenna problems this board has helped me on.

One more thing, I hate those Reason, Reason, Ive got a reason to live comecials... A LOT! :0

Does it come from the wheels? Does the noise pitch change as speed varies or why u mention brakes? Dust shield, handbrake cable jam...

Engine tilts opposite direction in R: try blocking its movement with thick rubber for testing. If the noise varies, then seek out engine - exhaust etc things attached to chassis which do bend as engine moves.
