Hey, I have 95 eclipse gsx and I just don't like the front end(bumper). So I was contemplating on a body kit but, I don't want my car any lower than it already is(for PA road reasons). I was thinking about installing a newer 2g front bumper onto my 95. Like a 98 or 99 front end. Is this something that can be easily done? Thank you.

pretty easy yes. it's a common conversion. 97-99 are the years you will be looking for.

you'll need the following:
97-99 front bumper cover
97-99 rear bumper cover
97-99 headlights
97-99 reverse lights

There's a post just like this on the main forum. You'll need the bumper, obviously. If you don't want gap between your headlights and the bumper, you'll need 97-99 style headlights, too. Lastly, the fogs. Keep in mind, this is all for just the front end. Also, you'll need to paint your bumper, and that's expensive. I'm sure a discussion will pop-up around the post on the main forum, might be worth checking out. Good luck.

Edit>> It's also worth mentioning that the 2gb bumper (97-99) sits lower than the 2ga. Probably not as low as body kits, though.

Speaking about front bumpers, not to highjack your thread, but in school the other day, i saw a 93 shape civic hatch with a 2G 97-99 front bumper on it!!! Im not kidding, it actually looked pretty sweet, and appeared to be a perfect fit!

Yep, this is a common conversion.

Eclipse 97+ conversion:
97-99 Bumper
97-99 Headlights

Or, if you're like me, you can do the 97-98 Talon front. The bumper looks much more aggressive IMO, but it's up to you really...:
97-98 Talon front bumper
97-99 Talon/Eclipse headlights

I'll try, lets hope he's still in school next seemster. The funny thing was, the bumper appeared to be a perfect fit, so much so that I actually thought "damn, that looks pretty nice, but I swear I've seen it somewhere before". It was fitted so perfectly, I got a shock when I realized: holy crap, its a 2G non-smiley front!

yeah the 97-99 swap is pretty easy. Basicaly you unbolt the old bolt on the new. After I got a lil to close to a camaro I went with it. It still needs paint and I still havent picked up my hood yet so the gaps with the hood are from it being bent out of shape still (just did a 5 minute hammer job on it). THe car is getting ready to go off to paint for a nice coat of gloss black.
