Cylinder head etc

Hey everyone I need some help, ok i am changing the head on my 95 neon SOHC and I'm not totally sure how I make sure everything is like alligned and that everything will work I do have the manual but its kinda confusing but what is a good way to tell if it is all in sync like expically when I put the timing belt back on to the new head and that like how do u tell if its all like in the right spots etc...
