I have been searching the internet for the past couple of days looking for a turbo or supercharger kit for a 2000 celica gt. The only ones i can find are like the $5000 kits, and i just cant afford to spend that much money. Does anyone know where i can find a less expensive turbo or supercharger kit for my car. i dont want a really cheap one that is not really goin to do anything or break. I just dont want to spend 5 grand. Also, will it be cheaper to just put one together myself?

Thanks

theres a slim to none chance ur gunna build one for as cheap and stil be just as good, if u can find a way to rechip your ecu, (try nopi.com) then i could build one for you for about $1000-$1500

Why can you build one for cheap? Do you have equipment or something or just know how?

It is not possible to re-chip the 7th gen ECU. He will need to get a greddy e-manage or an apex'i power fc.

I would highly recommend you get one of the pre-fabbed kits (C2power or Hass). Lots of R&D went into those kits and you would probably end up spending the same (probably more though) in fixing problems that arise when building your own custom kit. Remember 99% of the time custom=$$$.

On the C2 Power web site the stage turbo kit for the celcia cost EU3.649.00 Does anyone know what the EU stands for. Is it some foreign currency which actually equals like 5 grand in US money????
Thanks, im willing to pay that if that is in us currency. Also, does anyone know what that kit would boost horsepower to, i only want to run like 7-8 psi till i upgrade everything else (clutch, tranny, etc.)

3,649 Euro converts to 4,567.45 USD. I HIGHLY recommend this kit.

Lots of people have had problems with the XS kit. You would be very smart to stay away from it. Just about every exhaust manifold they shipped out has cracked.. and their customer service is zero.

Go with the C2 kit, or wait for the Hass kit. The Hass kit is going to be really nice.

teqnically its not possible to rechip any toyota ecu, you have to actually replace things like the rom and etc...

i always for get the 7th gens are extremly lacking hte the ecu department, cant retune em, cant use afc, the only you can really do is standalone or get a piggyback that wont be ovverrided...ahh the good old days wehre you could use a standard 4agze ecu and just re chip it

The apexi power FC works really well, I would suggest that if you are going to get one.
