What to do with G20

I just bought my wife a 92 G20 that already has the motor out due to a broken rod bolt. It may be repairable but I haven't torn into it to see. I know it's locked up so the crank probably has some damage along with that rod.
I'm a newbie to SR20's but I have turboed my CRX, and would like to make this car a turbo as well.
Can you guys give me some advice of cheap places for parts and most bang for the buck. I am going to rebuild an engine to go into this car but I have no idea How strong it's stock bottom end is.
I don't boost past 7psi on my stock honda bottom end.
any advice is appreciated.
Josh

your best bet would to get ahold of an all new motor, an SR20DET. it is the turbo version of the DET. there are ALOT of places and people who can get ahold of these motors. theres a few guys on the board witht them and i havent herd anything but good things about these motors. you wouldent have to do much to the DET because of the stock internals are ment to be boosted. doing the motor swap would be much more inexpencive then fixing and turboing the motor in her car now.

I have questions like:
Will a SR20DET bolt up to the tranny I have bolted to the SR20DE now?
Where can I find info on popular swaps?
What are the actual differences between the 2? bore/stroke compression ratios. Safe redline.
I would like to find any and all tech info related to the differences between the 2 motors. I know my Honda stuff, but I was interested in expanding into the Nissan world.
Thanks,
Josh

The BB DET will bolt right up. Easiest swap. (BlueBird SR20DET) George Roffe had a write up in Sport Compact Car about his BB DET swap in a '92 G20.

7500 is redline if it is manual! Woohoo!

Go to the foums/sites I listed above. Spend some time at www.se-r.net. Very imformative. Will probably answer several of your questions about the SR20.
