i bought some 6 3/4 speakers for my 1996(non bose) I am having some problems installing the rear speakers. anyone know how to do this.:help:

take out the rear seat, bottom and top peices, then remove the rear deck and you should be able to see how they mount

don't know haven't done this process yet but a friend of mine told me that was the only way to do it

its this process the same for a 92 max with bose because i have to install new 6x9's and don't see how to remove the entire thing.

seats:
1st you have to remove the seat bottom, there is 1 clip on each side underneath towards the front (pull the clip forward). Take out the seat bottom. Now you have to put down the center pass-through and take those screws out. and underneath the seat backs there are 4 bolts holding the backrests. the entire bench is ready to come out.

rear deck:
1st you have to remove the panel on the top (between the rear window and the little rear door window) on both sides. to remove you have to pry on it gently (there are like 5-8 plastic clips holding the panel in place).
once both are out, you have to pry the deck lid up (take out center brake light if you have one).
take the lid out and you are able to see the screws on top. easy as cake to swap out speakers.

putting it all back:
installation is the reverse of removal ;)
