Alarm Prroblem

Hope someone can help.
Does anyone know if the Serenas around 94 ish, came with a factory fitted alarms??
We have had ours for 2 years now and all of a sudden today while driving the alarm just went off! We didnt even know the car had an alarm lol
We have no fob for it and the only way we have not turned off is by taking the main fuse out for the alarm!
From what i can see the noise comes from around a box under the hood with
Nission NS 10 - on it?????
Any help would be greatly welcomed.
