Kinda depends on what you get but for the most part it is all the same. I am guess anywhere from 3hp to 7hp depending on setup. BUt it sounds sooo nice :grinyes: The Short ram sounds nicer cause it is closer to you while driving, and you don't have to worry about rain getting in and seizing your engine, however the cai is supposed to be better and draw colder air due to it's lower location.

You do get a little more tq from a ram air, but the cold air seems to make the car run alittle smother. The hp you will gain is about 3 to 4 depending on the other mods you have.

Some ads say they add up to 15whp and some even say 30whp, but I've never witnessed a power gain that high with an integra before. It's probably going to put around 3-7hp.

You will get an average of about 2-3 hp difference in the upper rpm however there may be a "peak" difference of like 6hp. Cold air is not the answer my friend. Some swear by short ram intake. Some swear by cold because the air is colder. They are both wrong. You want the combo of short and cold. You get that with the iceman modded airbox and the k and n filter. Also water is a huge problem for cold air intakes, you can truly mess up your engine if water gets sucked in. The iceman airbox replaces you current airbox. You will notice on your airbox that it only has a small hole on the bottom. They do this for sound, not power. They have determined the engine is quietest and performs decently with that size hole. The iceman air box just allows more air to come in. I modded my air box a little and didn't care for the change in sound so I decided not to do to much more. My friend just drilled some holes in his. Also by getting a K&N air filter you gain horse power. Total you can gain about 3-6 hp throught the entire rpm line if you buy the iceman upgrade. Keep in mind the cost of that horsepower is a louder sounding engine. The manufactuers are not stupid and things are like that for a reason. In reality though, upgrading the air filter will not give a notiable difference in power. come on, we are talking less then a 5% increase in power. May give you .1 off your quarter mile time but I doubt it. Regular driving you should not even be able to tell, it is a mental thing usually, unless you are doing other upgrades I would probably not recommend it because anything less than the iceman airbox is a waste and it costs about $150-$250. With other upgrades though, there is not much better for such a low cost.

i read an article in superstreet where they did mods to an ls an put the car on the dyno after each mod. the first mod was an aem cai and it added 5 whp from 129 to 134.i cant remember the torque increase but i dont think it was signifigant.

my friend had a short ram air with a kn air filter and a heat shield. He but a tube that ran from the filter to the bottom of his car and it acted like a ram air intake. the faster he went the more power he made. But the only problem he had was getting the tube to stay in the right place at the bottom of the car
