code po401

2001 explorer, 4.0, check eng. light came on i pulled the code po401, egr, insufficient flow detected. what can i do to correct this problem. thanks

Sounds to me like the EGR valve is stuck because of carbon bulid up and needs to be cleaned. you could do it your self just clean it with break cleaner or something similar that dosen't leave a residue.

i use carb and choke cleaner, the EGR gasket may also need replaced.
