well today after school I jump on the highway and follow my friend in his frontier to his house. On the way up I notice another guy from school in his black RSX flying up to me, he's about the only one at school interested in much racing. Anyway, I got the point when I saw him fly up and pace me, we slowed down a little and as it turned out it was pretty clear in front and behind us. I'm not sure what speed we were running from the start (speedo was reading 0, it randomly does that sometimes) but I downshift into 4th and pace him (my dumb ass should have been in 3rd)
He shows 3 fingers and honks




1.... getting ready..... 2..... tapping throttle... 3! GO

I put the pedal on the floor but since I was in 4th and out of the powerband the gain was only about a half car to a car on him... Then all of a sudden I heard the turbo spool up, the engine lurch and I'm outa there. The car picks up awesome speed and what was a car or so lead turned into more than a buslength. Traffic was up ahead so the run had to be stopped there. He pulled up next to me, we exchanged "hell yahs" and went our seperate ways.

(speedo was reading 0, it randomly does that sometimes)

I woudl so use that if I ever got pulled over..."Im sorry officer, but somtimes my speedometer just reads 0, so no I iddn;t know how fast I was going."

Good kill...those SR20DETs are scrumptious...wouldnt mind having a recent gen 240 with one.

I suppose I should try to get the speedo fixed soon. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work and sometimes it'll read 70 when I'm just going 40...

Just a base with intake and downpipe I believe. I'd like to try a type S sometime soon from a roll in 3rd though. RSX's are sexy

i dont see a type s as a problem when you have a sr20 with increased boost

As far as what she'll run... What I've found is that stock swaps have a good spectrum from about 14.2-14.7 on average. Now, with the few extras that have been slapped on and the boost set higher (also given that I believe I chose the lightest chassis) I'd be expecting to play with a high 13 on a good day. I voted low-mid 14's on the thread titled "Where you at?" but haven't been to the track yet, I just wanted to put that time in to see if I could get a rise out of dampachi, everyones friendly AF bud.... :p

Anyway, who gets more of da ladies?

Actually, I've seen it work. You just have to convince the cop to drive your car 100ft down the shoulder. Cop was like, "Well ok then, but get it fixed immediately" My friend said, "Yes sir, I am on my way to my mechanic's as we speak" :iceslolan

What year is your 240? I've got an S13 as well, with the same speedo problem. Maybe its a 240 thing.... Anyways, good story, sounds like a cool car.

the chassis is a 91 base model 240 but I'm guessing I have a loose connection somewhere so I'll have to see if I can fix that myself asap. It only happens now and then though and when it does I just use the revs to tell me what speed I'm going which seems to work alright.

Most of the "secret" account supports the Natural Aspirations crew. Just dipped into the account and that's how I got my new motor.

The possibilities of that are becoming very bleak. I might not be able to get it now cause I might be out of a job soon and the secret account is gonna have to support my arse if that happens, If find another soon enough then yeah everything continues as planned.

It was. She needed a sliver removed, so I went and bought some tweezers then I operated by simply taking the tweezers, pinching the sliver, and surgically removed it from her finger. She's better now :)
