Brake Lights not working

I would appreciate any help here. I have a 2001 Dakota that the brake lights aren't working on. I hooked up trailer lights some time ago but they don't seem to be the problem. If I take them out and hook the brake lights back up as they were the brake lights still don't work.

The parking lights work, the flashers work, the turn signals work. The lights only fail to come on during braking.

I have taken a look at the switch at the pedal and it appears to be working. Could it be something else? Or should I just go ahead and replace that switch.

Allways start at the fuses under dash and under hood. :cool:

i had a 1984 dodge daytona with the same problem, it was the turn signal switch mounted in the stering wheel. I think it cost me 100.00 for a new one. I am not sure if its the same thing on yours but it sounds the same.
