Swapping out auto tranny

I"m in the process of gathering pieces for an auto to manual swap and I met a guy who is selling a GSR engine and tranny for 1500, aparently someone owed him some money and he took the engine and tranny as payment. My car is a 4 door ls. My question is should I buy the GSR, drop in the engine and tranny or just drop in the tranny, and do an LS/vtec, or just buy another b-series tranny and a another GSR head if I want to do a ls/vtec? Also, anyone have any good sights on the auto to manual swap?

If I were you I would do a complete swap.
