AC removal almost done, and removing spot welds questions

1. I removed all the AC lines under the hood, the AC canister, and the radiator looking thing. Do I need to do anything to block off those old lines? Two of them run back to the firewall, two of them run to the block. Also, what can I remove from the belt system?

2. I decided to remove things on the front of the car down to the radiator support, because it was bent in a previous crash, and pressing the radiator against the turbo. The support itself is spot welded to the frame. How do I remove those welds? With a torch? I guess I'll get to learn to weld when I put the new support back on.

I know these are rudimentary questions, any help would be appriciated :)

i don't think it's a good idea to remove the radiator support, that gives you alot of your strength in the frontend.

He said he was going to put a new one in. My brother replaced a radiator support, but I didnt see the process. But they do make drill bits for removing spot welds. Never used one myself.

none of the ac lines should go to the block. the 2 going inside just go into the evaporater. you save the most weight if you take it out but its a pain in the ass so you can just cut off the lines and leave them there.

you can just drill out the spot welds i think. just dont go too deep because you need to leave enough metal on the back surface to reweld to.
