Hey gang, been a while since I did some serious building :disappoin
This being out of work sux, but I'm at least finding time to model, in between job hunting..... :evillol:

Chris !!...I've got out the C-West kitted R34 again, thought it was time to get this puppy finished.
Poor thing has had soooo many resprays/strips, it's not sure if its even a Nissan any more.......

Was a completed model (yellow) got stripped for the addition of the SAS kit, painted blue, stripped, painted pearl green, stripped... :screwy:

Now, have a look........

Wow...where the hell have you been? You just disappeared eons ago. Good luck with the job hunting, and tell your new boss that you need a minimum of 20hours of free time a week for model time.

R34 looks great, cant wait to see some more of your work soon.

Here's an update for you all.....
And yeah, thanks ImolaEK, you gotta be happy with it, hey....even if it means stripping and re-doing.....

Shot the first clearcoat yesterday....

http://images9.fotki.com/v186/photos/6/63306/2224069/clear2-vi.jpg?800600

While waiting for the first clear coat to dry, I've busied myself on the killer powerplant for this thing.....
Anyway, I figured, if it's gonna "look" fast,....... it's going to need the gonads to back it up. :evillol: :smokin:
So, on went the biggest turbo I had, mounted to a custom (brass rod) exhaust manifold.....

http://images9.fotki.com/v186/photos/6/63306/2224069/motor3-vi.jpg?800589

I also decided to run a oil pump and filter set up, the clear tubes will run to a catch tank on the right inner fender...

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/motor-vi.jpg?800600

The engine bay got a few goodies, surge tank with fuel lines, feed and return, to the tank, with an external fuel pump mounted near the tank.

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/enginebay-vi.jpg?800600

The fuel lines are mounted along the chassis rail..

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/under-vi.jpg?800600

Thanks for checkin in and keeping me motivated, not doin much job hunting though...... :evillol: :evillol:

**UPDATE**

Gee, it's good to be busy modelling again... :grinyes:

Done some on the motor, fuel lines, oil lines to and from motor, filters, oil cooler.....I used some pulley faces from MCG....

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/motorin2-vi.jpg?800600

The clear oil tubes will go to the breather box inside the front right hand fender, near the fuse box...

http://images9.fotki.com/v170/photos/6/63306/2224069/motorin4-vi.jpg?800600

And the brake system, ready to go in.....

Thanks for following guys....

Managed to get a little bit done today, plus some test fitting...
Should've been job hunting....oh well...... :evillol:

Placed some subttle decals on the doors (I'm a decal freak).. :evillol:

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/test3-vi.jpg?800600

I also have a cage to go in, still needs a coat of green paint.. I made it from 1/16 brass rod..

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/test10-vi.jpg?800600

Also made a N1 muffler today. Made from different size aluminium tube.
Stuck a carbon decal on to dress it up a bit...

http://images9.fotki.com/v186/photos/6/63306/2224069/test11-vi.jpg?800600

The engine bay is almost complete..oil lines connected, radiator overflow connected, brake lines/booster are in...Still need to run the clutch cable from clutch cylinder to tranny...

http://images9.fotki.com/v187/photos/6/63306/2224069/test4-vi.jpg?800600

An underside view of the motor...

http://images9.fotki.com/v186/photos/6/63306/2224069/test7-vi.jpg?800600

And an overall shot from under, showing the custom exhaust, muffler..
The exhaust is aluminium rod, the "cat" from the kit...

http://images9.fotki.com/v186/photos/6/63306/2224069/test9-vi.jpg?800600

Hope to have more soon, thanks for checkin' in...

Hey, thanks for the very kind words guys...

injecting,....wingless..? Nah, I'll be fitting a wing, sorry.

Well, the interior is what's caused a bit of a delay with the progress...
I've spent countless hours the last couple of days fiddleing around with bits'n'pieces, trying to get it all to look right....

My interiors are normally plain and boreing, so I decided to try a few things different on this one..... :shakehead

I added the slide adjuster to the front of each seat for starters...

http://images9.fotki.com/v179/photos/6/63306/2224069/testdayseat-vi.jpg?800600

I also applied c/f to the seat back, (seats and decal from Tamiya Carolla R/C) I figured a tuff "street" car was going to need good restraints for the occupants, so I called on the services of Mr. Fujimi and Mr. Modellers,..who supplied the nessesary fabric and hardware for the job...

http://images7.fotki.com/v143/photos/6/63306/2224069/testinterior-vi.jpg?800600

Now, let me just say,.....if anyone ever tells you, they love doing seatbelts...........THEY"RE LIEING......!!!!.....  :banghead:
I suffered immensely during this process, but I think they come out OK..

http://images7.fotki.com/v143/photos/6/63306/2224069/testinterior7-vi.jpg?800600

I thought a turbo-timer would be nessessary for such a ballsie motor, so I scratched around the parts box, and found an old CB radio :grinno:
It's a bit on the large side, but gives the right effect...Stuck it on top of the dash, for easy viewing by the driver...

http://images7.fotki.com/v143/photos/6/63306/2224069/testinterior4-vi.jpg?800600

I thought about the computer and the fact that most of these late model "street racers" use aftermarket pc's, so, I decided to add one..
I will say here, THIS IDEA IS STOLEN.....I saw some one else add one to their car a while back, sorry, I can't remember who...
I made it from scrap plastic, added some electrical wireing and glued it to the side of the console...Oh, the gear shift is a piece of thin wire with a solder knob, as well....

http://images7.fotki.com/v143/photos/6/63306/2224069/testinterior8-vi.jpg?800600

This is just an overall shot to give an idea of what it'll be like when completed..Sorry, I forgot to dust it off..... :shakehead :banghead:

Hope those of you still following, are enjoying this as much as I...

Atleast he didn't put a V-Tech decal. Every thing seems to be powered by v-techs now, honda or not. :grinyes: This is a great looking project, aside from the mugen decal. You could probably find some excuse to justify the need for it though. Keep up the great work and get some more pics.

Mate, sorry I couldn't remember who's work is was, but thanks for the inspiration, It's something I would have overlooked, had I not seen your work LaMz. Cheers
Yeah, the inlet plenum is scratch-built, I wanted the big single throttle body which is such a popular mod on real ones down here i Aus....

Ryan and Matt,
thanks guys, I'm keeping track of your work too, both builds are coming along sweet...

MidMazar,
Mate, the motor is from the older Tamiya R32, but I built up all the engine bay area from scrstch, thanks Mate.

Casper,
Mate, the turbo is from an old Fujimi (Enthusiast series) Porsche..:uhoh:
It has got beautifull detail molded into it...
