Resin Paint Help.....

ok. well i got the blower hat for my pro mod. and i wanted to lay some flat black down before i put the CF on it. well i cleaned it with soap and water. layed down some primer and some black...it stayed sticky...so i dumped it in the brake fluid while i was at work. pulled it out when i got home and cleaned it up. now the paint on the top is just fine, dried flat like its supposed to. the paint on the bottom however is still really tacky...this paint usually dries within 5 min tops. anyone got any idea of what is wrong? i thoroughly sanded the whole peice before i painted it the second time..or so i thought.

not sure what the problem is, but you shouldnt put resin in brake fluid, your lucky it didnt melt on you!! lol, use alcohol.

yeah i wasn't thinking when i dumped it in there. its habbit from stripping bodies. i forgot that i read on the Slixx site to use alcohol. the resin was a little soft on the outside. lol. i stripped the paint again and am now in the process of just applying the CF decal to it.......could be here all night. lol. next time i'll let the parts set in alcohol for a couple hours to make sure all of the mold release is removed

Sometimes You Need A Primer/Sealer For Resin Parts
Some Resins React Well To Paint And Some Don't
I Always Use Primer/Sealer Before I Paint The Topcoat
