slipping with 3.0 pulley?

Just curious when they really start to slip? seems like it pulls fine in 1st, 2nd and slips a bit in 3rd then grabs. Yes I'm using a manual, not the auto.

If it is by chance slip I was thinking about go with a no slip 2.8/3.0 pulley if the injectors allow it.

I could've sworn once you hit 3.0 slippage could occur, thanks!!

I would say that if it was going to slip, it would do it from 1st to second. High "R"'s would cause it faster.
Smaller pulley? How many mods are the running. 3.4" is about it for stock motor.
Good luck.

well I don't really rip on on it often think I noticed it a bit in 2nd with the higher RPM's but the tires were breaking loose at 55-60.

mods are
ZZP IC 3.0 pulley
headers/exhaust
1.8 rockers/ls6 valve springs
160 tstat/autolite 103's
ECM/CAI

think that covers it, if it matters. I might just invest in it and call it good maybe drop down to a 2.8 no slip while I'm at it, what the hey.

Tried a couple smaller pulleys. Went back to the 3.4".
Had the same trouble with my car. 45 MPH it would brake lose. Went to some ZR rated tires. Took care of most of that.
Let us know how you make out.

That South Florida Pulley company is great. Excellent products and tech support. Their interchangeable and no slip pulleys are the best around.

It's probably better to consult with them since you plan on getting pretty radical on the pulley size. What brand SC belt are you running?

Like Jim (KustomKid54) I'd be interested to know how it turns out. Good luck!

running a gatorback right now, the belt could be rather old. I bought the IC used and it came with a belt and it fit believe it or not :D
