Forget The O2 Sensor!!!!!!!!!

WAY BAD CALL 94JIMMY!!!
A finely tuned motor does NOT even use the O2 sensor. A finely tuned motor uses all of the O2 which gets burned in the combustion process, and the O2 sensor does no work. A poorly tuned motor lets O2 get through the combustion process (by not burning it all), and into the exhaust, and the O2 sensor tells the ECM that compensation is necessary to fix another problem. If you'd like to see that in print, I'll be happy to get it to you. A bad O2 sensor is an extremely common myth!!!

Thats a load of crap. In the Auto 4 stroke engine you will never get 100% fuel and air burn. If you did there would be 0 emissions and only water vapor out of the exhaust. Also there would no need for a cooling system because with 100% use of fuel and air there would be NO heat left to cool down.

You are full of B.S.The Electronic Fuel Injection will not work right without the O2 sensor. The O2 sensor work with the fuel injection to read the fuel/air mixture.A bad O2 sensor is NOT a myth, you liar.Antifreeze can do damage to an O2 sensor after a blown headgasket. If a check engine light is on and it is an O2 sensor code, the O2 sensor is bad.

To whom are you speaking to?
You statement
If a check engine light is on and it is an O2 sensor code, the O2 sensor is bad.
Well with 15 years as a GM Master Tech And A.S.E Master Tech you last statement is so WRONG.
Most O-2 codes are caused my a fuel or spark problem not by a bad o-2 only. Sure we get a few truely bad o-2 sensors but not like what you think.

I ran out of gas once and the puter threw a O2 sensor code , O2 sensor replacement tends to happen a lot more than needed.

And why did it put the cel on because the fuel system went very lean, o2 code set but not a o2 problem

Sorry,I was speaking to cbec1999.I still think cbec1999 is full of B.S.I do remember what will throw an O2 sensor code,a topped off gas tank.It happened to my grandma's 2001 Saturn, replaced the O2 sensor three times until my father found out.My grandma topped off the gas tank and it did set that O2 sensor code off.Found this out from a Vetronix rep my father knows that helps out my father on computer headaches

You sure it was the o2 code and not the evap fuel tank code?? because that is a very common problem if the gas cap is not turned on tight with the min of 3 to 5 clicks on the cap

It was an O2 code those three times. After the third time,my father called that Vetronix rep and asked him that. That Vetronix rep is a friend of my father, like I mentioned help my father out on the computer headaches and is "right on the stick" most of the time.Anyway,GM's factory scan tool is made by Vetronix

Like I said before...
Forget the O2 sensor.
I got the article right here in my hot little hands. Took two years to find it too. Corvette Fever, Nov. 2000 'How to tune a TPI'.
How can I upload the pic there, mods?
