HEHEHE....this is so true of my household :p
I'm part chinese remember :p
Especially these ones:
2. When there is a sale on toilet paper, you buy 100 rolls and store
them in your closet or in the bedroom of an adult- child who has moved out.
4. You save grocery bags, tin foil, and tin containers. You use the grocery bags to hold garbage.
You have Tupperware in your fridge with three bites of rice or one
leftover chicken wing.
6. You don't own any real Tupperware- only a cupboard full of used but
carefully rinsed margarine tubs, take out containers, and jam jars.
9. You own a rice cooker and a slow cooker
10. You wash your rice at least 2-3 times before cooking it.
11. You fight (literally) over who pays the dinner bill.
18. If you don't live at home, when your parents call, they'll ask if
you've eaten, even if it's midnight.
19. Your parents tell you to boil herbs and stay insidewhen you get
sick.
They also tell you not to eat fried foods or baked goods because they're
heaty (yeet hay in Cantonese).
23. You starve yourself before going to all you can eat buffet.
24. You know someone who can get you a good deal on jewelry or
electronics, computers.
HAHA.... love number 11....we do literally have arguments over who pays bills...and we shove money into people's wallets :p
Oh, and variation on number 19. Chinese parents force you to eat congee when you are sick :p
Oh, and number 24 is so true.....duty free :p

That isn't fair. Our family fulfils at least 1/2 that criteria. We have wok-cooked meals at least 3 nights a week - usually more. And I'm about as much chinese as Tannee is South African.

same can be said with a lot of different cultures....besides especially in Australia...since we are a multi-cultural country.

There were a few others that were close too - then again, when I was living in Penang the Chinese/Indian/Malay influence was really strong on us kids when we were growing up.
