interior neons

i am trying to hook up interior neons to my 1998 Mustang. Someone told me a quick way of installing them was to wrap the positive wire from the neon to a fuse is the fuse box, and the negitive wire around somethin metal that touches nothing else. Is this a good way of doing it? or is there a better way to go about it?

I would look at a wiring diagram and pick a circuit, then use wire connectors (or solder) to splice into the positive circuit. For the ground, I would crimp a connector on the wire that could be screwed to the body.

if you hook it to a fuse or circuit you run the risk of overloading and causing blown fuses, or worse, a fire in your dash, you'd be safer to run aftermarket electrical stuff off the battery, for the ground KimMG has the right idea, find a screw or bolt and attach it there

:rolleyes:. Well, whatever, its your car. But if you do it, do it right. Run a fuse on the 12v side, and put a switch on the ground side to do it right.
