New Eclipse....

i saw the 06 eclipse and it looked pretty cool, first time i saw it, i didnt knew they had it out yet but it was sittin right by the road, it was the orangeish color..........and then right down the road, i saw an audi car....i dont know if they have a new design coming out or something but it was covered in audi tape and i was driving by it staring at it and the guy in it was staring me down lol :iceslolan

i saw one for the first time in person not to long ago and they look a whole lot better up close!!

I had no idea they are even out yet. But as for the Audi, that is just plastic to keep the paint clean when they deliver it.

But I'm kind of against the new Eclipse's side windows...because it has that little fixed piece of glass sits in the front next to the mirrors. And that's kind of suck for a coupe...

My local Mitsubishi dealer has 5 of them, and they look freakin sweet!!! I'm glad they didn't stick with the original concept design. They altered it a bit and made it look awesome. I'm thinkin of getting one.

ITs all about the Dodge Magnum... with 22 inch wheels. enough said! (Though, the eclipse looks sweet)

Uh, this isn't about the Dodge Magnum. It's about the new Eclipse. I like the GT model they came out with: 6-speed, 260 HP can't go wrong!!!

But when will they have the Turbo AWD back?

the eclipse has long since lost whatever true performance potential it once had. it is now a bloated sports sedan. basically a 2-door galant now.
it actually does share the same platform, chassis, engine, ect as mitsu's sedan

its the same kind of car as the monte carlo or taurus SHO or something.

if mitsu wants it to be performance, it needs to make it about 600lbs lighter, and put in a completely different engine, suspension. whether its FWD, AWD or RWD is not a big deal. they could do it with any setup. they wont make it like they used to because the evo fills that gap in their lineup now.
but if rumor is true, mitsubishi is pulling out of america completely in a few years...

I don't get why it's so heavy now. That, and the gas mileage is real shitty (19-28 mpg for the GT). It still looks cool, especially the GT with ground effects. I don't know why anyone would compare it with the Evo or STi. Those are both way better than the Eclipse will ever be.

i to saw the 06 eclipse, very slick lookin car, out of the forum but, i also saw a nissan skyline GT-R, it was an older model, but it was decked out in re=acing stickers and stuff like that, it was a racing skyline to put it easy! :sunglasse
