DPFi to MPFI - No Reverse Lights!

I have a 1990 Civic Sedan that I swapped the DPFI for a MPFI and now have one electrical glitch: I have no reverse lights. The switch seems to be wired incorrectly because if you shut off the car while in reverse, it will keep running! If you shift out of reverse, the engine shuts down.
Obviously, I have something in the wrong place at the ECU, but what?

you wired the yellow reverse light wire to the injector yellow wire. they look identical at the driver side body harness. i did the same thing, and the reverse lights flashed as fast as an injector

i appreciate the compliment, but i dont fancy myself as an expert like a lot of internet mechanics do. i just help whenever i can.
i just recently moved about 90 miles from my old house. i still havent brought my 88 hatch here yet, its in my old garage.
i got a promotion with the company i work with and now im a shop manager (i work for an oil change company)
edit: back on topic, did you try to swap the wires yet?

LOL I would love to see the flashing injector reverse lights in person...that seems hilarious.

just swap a few wires in the drivers side interconnect harness, itll work. the car will run like poo though, and set a check engine light code for injectors

no offense to anyone on here, but incucivic is one of those few "4G" people that i could listen to on 4g advice. ANYBODY can be a mechanic, but it takes awhile to completely understand a honda, honda swaps, and 4g's in particular....if you know what i mean...
just like the way that he called that one with the swapped yellow wires. It's only something that can come from experience...
I find myself doing that alot when people w/ hondas/acuras come to me with problems and i can just ask them a few questions and know exactly what the problem is without even seeing the car.
on a side note....4g's are GREAT!
