2001 Cavalier with 2.2 4cylinder
What coolant is used in this car ? Dexcool ?
What is the "burping" procedure for removing air from the cooling system after the system is flushed and refilled ?
What type and approximately how much automatic trans. fluid is needed after the pan is removed and the filter is changed ?
THANKS,
Rick

Yes, GM suggests DexCool. But, make sure you flush out the old crap real good with some Prestone coolant flush or something simliar.
Burping the engine, there are 2 valves... one on the t-stat and the other on the heater bypass line. Also, let your car heat up real good while keeping your heater on full blast. Then let it cool down to ambient temp with cap off. Keep doing this till the coolant level doesn't change. (BTW, don't get t-stats from autozone!)
Dexron III ATF I believe, and not sure how much.
