I have a 97 talon base model, the problem i'm having is it dies completely at random. When this happens there is no fire from the coil at all. it may start in 2 tries or it may start in a week. there is no rhime nor reason, not when it's hot or cold,.. nothing. the code on the check engine light says the coil is bad. I changed it twice, I also changed the ecu. it made absolutely no difference. the ecu was from a junk yard but the odds of getting another 1 with the exact same problem are pretty slim, can anybody help me?

how are the connectors for the coil. power, ground, signal, etc... you might have a loose connector or a bad ground or wire
