Stoplight switch

Can anyone tell me how to locate the stoplight switch. I cannot find it. And it is uncomfortable looking down there:) Thanks in advance.

The switch that should be near the brake pedal that triggers the brake lights. I cannot find it in order to replace it.

I just checked my service manual, and the only clue it gave as to where the switch is, was the part that said to remove the lower dash panel, which I'm assuming is the small dash piece underneath the steering column/wheel. HTH
