106 gti problem after problem!!!

Problem 1 : I have a 1998 R peugeot 106 gti that i bought for 3.2k about 4mths ago. When i veiwed the car the seller told me that sometimes the car would not start although it would turn over and the reason was that the battery was running flat for the immobiliser inside the key. So a couple of weeks later i replaced that batt and still have the same problem! The car may start 10 consecutive times in success but sometimes 10 consecutive times and just turn over and over and not start. In which case i turn the ignition completely off and then try to start it agian, sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesnt. If it doesn't i just repeat the process until it starts. As u can imagine this can be really embarressing at petrol stations and also really annoying!

Problem 2 : When the car does finally start it seems like the automatic choke doesn't always work. Sometimes it just ticks over at about 1,100rpm nicely and other times it will cut out unless given some throttle!

Problem 3 : When i try to use the remote central locking on the car my indicators flash randomly and sometimes stay on! They can be a real pain to get back off by unlocking then locking the car god knows how many times so i dont use it at all just to save the hassel but would obviously like to.

My car recently got serviced and had new oil/filter, air filter, sparkplugs and cambelt.

Any help would be so highly appreciated! Thankyou

i have a 1.1 independance 106 with central locking, immobiliser. my car kept cutting out n then starting until it finaly decided to give up on me, i tuk it to the garage and they cleaned ot an electrical plug on the front right hand side of the car as you look at it from the front! they cleaned it and covered it with vaseline stuff, i havnt had any problems since, except for my car sumtimes struggles when idling but the garage said that this was due to the KnN induction kit! hope this helps
