YEa so i have a idea about swaping my crappy 240sx engine for a rb26dett then finding a turbo kit for that but i have no idea where to get that engine from and ill need the tranny and ecu and i wanna get it all in one package...and then i want to slap to turbo upgrade on it so i wanna know what it will take to do that parts,cost,ect thanks...

Yea...first...take out your KA24DE POS and send it to me with tranny and ecu...cause ill need those. If the KA24DE is in good condition ill send you a brand new RB26DETT with 30k miles for about $3000 and thats with tranny and everything youll need. Also the custom mounts for the AWD transfer Case.

ok here it is how much money do you have to work w/? do u actually plan on keeping it twin turbo? do u plan on making it RHD? do u plan on doing anything else when you do the swap like uhh i dunno badass brakes and a killer suspension because u cant be rolling on some shit ass brakes and expect to stop a rb26dett

hmmmmm you need to find more then that like a RWD trannyt unless your ricker then shit or very good w/ fabrication cause i doubt u have the money or knowhow to make it AWD. and 3100 for a rb26dett sounds a lil low i wouldnt trust it

i have about 7k take away the price of the engine and the cost of it to be put it that leaves about 3k and brakes ....well i may need a little more cash..

is this another 10year old with some ricer idea? Damn, why not just do an RB25 and save yourself the hassle. 2F2F has ruined the RB series because now everyone thinks they need a TT engine to be JDM tyte...

Then you need custom mounts, figure another grand give or take, im not up to date with these
you will need a new driveshaft as the RB25det tranny is bigger then the ka/sr tranny.
you will need to do a RHD conversion to keep it twin turbo, it is possible to do it with LHD but you'd need a new manifold and downpipe anyhow. YOur best bet would be a single turbo upgrade, which Im sure is in the 2-4 grand range for anything JDM
Now you got all the major parts you need, nevermind all the little stuff along the way, and anything you break or is already bad on the engine. Have you found any RB26dett rebuild kits or gasket kits?
I'd ditch the power steering too because can you find RB26 power steering shit laying around in junkyards or at PEPboys? NO
Id also go through the tranny while is already out with new Bearings and Synchros, shifter bushings, and gaskets/seals.
New Clutch.....
New Radiator hoses
New Radiator for RB monster $500
Plus I would find a GTR clutch master cylinder for the new bigger clutch, because the stock 240sx one is going to be a limmiting factor..... I have no clue where to even get something like that and how much it costs. Probably a specialty JDM importer at a premium price.
and unless you can do all that shit by yourself in a professional manner your going to spend another couple grand in labor at the very least.

Mounts and driveshaft are 1100$ from MKMS. That RB26DETT is in Canada which means it'll cost you moer to get it in the country. (but the price is right, in Canada, clips and motor sets are cheaper)
