does the lemon law apply to private sellers?

just wanted to know if it applies to someone who sells their used car out of the paper.

Actually lemon law applies to new and used vehicles, but only from an authorized motor vehicle dealer. Private sales are considered "as is"

If a vehicle is purchased from a private seller but still has a manufacturer's warranty in place, it may apply under the lemon law. advertising link removed by Moderator
