Just got a used 90 wagoneer. It drove fine for 2 weeks, then overheated and spued antifreeze out the cooling reseviour. I working on it yesterday and installed a thermostat, (it was without one), a new waterpump, ran garden hose water through the radiatior to check to see if it was clogged and it wasn't...... yet it still over heats in about 3 minutes.
The top radiator hose never seems to fill will water. It appears it isn't circulating. What is the deal with purging out the entrapped air. Desperately lost...help.

When the thurmastat opens add h2o to the top and when done doing that cap it. that will pressurize it. It sucks in the coolent from the bottem and goes threw the engine and comes out the top.... Is the bottem hose where it connects fill with dirt or anything sloodge. Other that that, not to sure if that does not work.
