82 lebaron speedo

my mother in law has an 82 lebaron, and the speedometer dont work. she said that they told her that they quit makin the cable for the speedo. is it true or is there some kind of replacement?

also she had the engine reuilt, it was workin ok until she had new cat converters put on and it cut out and died. anyone got a clue on what could be up with that?

there is a replacement somewhere, there has to be, as for the engine, the cat converters could be the reason that it died, sometimes the cat sdoes funny things to an engine, i've seen one sieze an engine right up
