My keys have been stolen to a company truck.
Its a F-450 Dump truck.
Anyhow, I would like to know if I have to use a locksmith or if I can get a new set of keys off the VIN?
I know that if I took out the door cylinder I could get a key made to fit but it has seperate keys for the ignition.
I really cant afford to get a new ignition switch or the locksmith (Who owes me a favor and offered to do it for $80.00)
ANy one got any advice?
I got to get this truck back up and running.
I think I willl have to use the locksmith???
Thanks

A new lock-set from Ford is not all that expensive (around $30) and they are rather easy to change. Most people can do it in under 30 minutes.
