I wanna install an aftermarket radio in a 2000 Cavy. Well I have been trying to find the quick connect wiring harness, so I won't have to cut out the factory plug. Well I have found one but its like $90. The guy at Circuit City says you can't cut the plug because something about the airbag not working and the door chime. My question is, is what the guy at Circuit City say true and does anyone know where to find the wiring harness at a cheaper price. $90 is a bit crazy.

No your air bags won't stop working and yes you'll lose your chime. Crutchfield has a wiring harness for about $80 that lets you keep your chimes and you don't have to cut your factory harness.

or you can go to best buy and tell the guy to shut up like i did and spend $20 for one that works just fine but you will loose your chimes. they suck anyway as long as you don't have rds then the harness is expensive
