I have a 94 c1500.Left front wheel caliper sticking in the stopping position.Rebuilt caliper,no change, replaced with new,no change, bleeding everytime,no change.Wheel gets hot and smokes and sparks fly. Also I checked the bearings for the overheating and replaced. The truck has 4.3L,auto,Rwal.It has got so hot the rotors look warped now.Anyone have same thing or know how to solve.

replace the rubber brake line that conects the hard line to the caliper. these lines are notorius for the inner lining colapsing. what its doing is alowing brake fluid into the caliper but not out. i had the same thing happen to me on the drivers side of my 87........now my passanger side is starting to do it.
i would recomend using an aftermarket steel braded line.

Had a similar problem on my 1990 Sierra. The sliders on the calipers can contribute to poor release of the brake too. I found that by servicing them, by cleaning and lubricating with proper grease made a difference. They must also be in good condition, with no scoring. I've heard of the brake line becoming pinched, and not letting the fluid flow back, but wasn't convinced til I saw a mechanic use vise-grips to pinch it off, as a standard procedure during a brake job. Now I know it can happen!
