This is the Hasegawa 1/12 Efini RX-7 Type R base kit which is from the mid 90's Kit No HSGZZ2.
I have a few plans to mod the body etc and as with the Skyline R32 make some scratchbuilt parts.
Of course this will be a long project requiring 1500 plus hours.
As the moment I have been working on Re Amemiya style rear light cluster.
More soon :)

The kit is very expensive :)
I have two of them. One to build as standard and one to build modifed.
Thanks to Mike United and Chaos for helping me aquire these :)
Not sure about working lights. maybe later. I'll take some photos tomorrow, Promise.

Finally you start to build to RX-7. Hope your making the RE Amemiya 2002 GT widebody or the 2001 GT, or maybe even the Greddy 9.
So, are you going to get a RX-7 ?

The rear light are no way what will happen, just getting some ideas :)
I cast the light custer in resin so I can play then make another and try again.
As you can see it need lowering a lot, so I have to think about that some more, after I have designed the wheels.
Thanks for looking :)

But yeah, it needs a wide body kit like the Amemiya 2002 GT kit!

It might be a little useless to say to you, looking to all your other (1/24) projects, but don't overdo it... That widebody Amiyama or whatever... :disappoin Something nice, C-West, Bomex... Would do more justice to such an awesome project.

Are you going to build it as the RE Amemiya Mazda RX-7 The Street Mu Greddy 9? If you are, it will be great. But any way you're building it, I know it will be another masterpiece from you.
So, when are you getting yourself a 1:1 RX-7? JK... Can't wait for another of your masterpiece to be build. :bigthumb:

I forgot to tell you, but the rear light cluster is actually two different pieces. It's a carbon fiber light cover/spoiler and the lights.

So you might want to drill holes in to yours.

This build is going to be a slow one, summers here and modelling is not the main attraction.
More work has been done, the bonnet is no way finished but in progress.
I'm also working on the side skirts, photos to follow soon.
