hey,
ive read alot of painting tutorials and in a few it mentioned using toothpaste to 'sand' or polish. i think it was after applying wax so it was in the end process. does anyone know about this?
i think the idea is that tooth paste is slightly abrasive and can polish a model to an extend??
i dont know, im not a pro, so just asking for what others know!

your model will have a nice scent of mint, at least. Havn´t tried it as a polish ..

You'll need to find some of the older style white abrasive toothpaste. The moden "gel" stuff is not the same.
It works as a very fine polish, I remember using it on clear parts years ago, worked a treat, dunno about on paint. The minty freshness is a welcome byproduct. :)

Wax is always last! If you polished with compound (or toothpaste)after applying wax you'd just rub it all off which would defeat the point ;)

yes tooth paste is a great polish!! the gel kind isn't AS abrasive, and I don't think works well on your teeth either. but honestly, for $3 a tube of tooth paste, or $4 for a can of turtle wax polishing compound, I'd go with the turtle wax stuff!!!
