AC condensor Swap?

My 1990 olds 88 was in a front-end collision which destroyed my AC condensor in addition to many other parts. However, i have been wanting to get the AC working again since summer and hot weather is on the way.

I've checked autozone and o'riely--a condensor will run from $110 to $160 to replace. However, i have attained a beater 88 for $200 w/ the same condensor. The ac in the Beater doesn't work and i had no intention of fixing it. Would it be possible to remove the condensor from the beater and use it in my daily driver, or would the condensor not be suitable for swapping due to age (from a 1986 88) or just b/c it is from another car? Also, would i have to have my AC system cleaned out before I install the condensor, as well as cleaning the condensor?

Hello. If I were you,I would go with a new condensor. Also,If the car is worth fixing up,I would suggest a new dryer for the system.Remember,The pressure on the high side is around 300psi.I do not think I would go messing around with old, used parts.Keep cool !! Diesel 1962
