Hello!
No warning for lights left on....ideas for fix??
My very first post here, so forgive any unintentional protocol neglects. PROBLEM: my 03 4-runner sr5 (4wd, automatic) is great...but...
---there's no warning to alert that headlights are left on (and we don't have the auto turn-off feature)...didn't notice til after purchase (just assumed it'd be there)
So, does anyone have experience with a fix for this (that won't have terrible offsetting consequences)?? Ideas, anyone???
Thanks (& hope all your wheels are rolling well).

Just make it a habit to turn them off before you exit the vehicle...

In Canada we have 2 headlight options.
On or auto on which works in the dark.
The on will come on when the truck starts and shuts off either with your key fob or wait 30 seconds and they shut off.. If a door is left ajar then the lights will stay on as a warning.
Talk to your dealer, there may be an auto shut off that is on a time delay and they can change the delay.

Thanks, Clayton.
Your response was cheering on a rainy day. I'll continue to pursue.
Be well & thanks again!
