I'm trying to put harnesses on my 91 CRX with stock seats. Without a roll cage or harness bar, is there any good way to fix them into place? If not, where could I get a roll cage or harness bar for cheap?

most people mount them to the back seatbelt mounts, but the CRX doesnt have back seatbelts. yours MAY have the mounting points for back seatbelts, in which case you could mount them there.

i dont suggest doing it, because in the event of a wreck the harnesses will pull down on your shoulders and compress your vertebrae. thats why hareness bars and roll cages mount at the shoulder level, to keep the harness even with you.

if you want a harness bar, you will have to get someone to make you one. and if you have a 90-91 CRX, you will have to make mounts for the harness since those years have the seatbelts in the doors and not on the B pillar.

ive also seen people use B-pillar bars to mount their harnesses to. i dont think that they are big enough for me to trust in that way though...

Thanks a lot. I'll do some more research before deciding which route to take.
