can anybody tell me how to trouble shoot the tow mode. I push the button on the end of the shift lever and nothing happens. I cant find the fuse for it. Allso is there a way to get rid of the auto headlights system and change them to manual. I know you can push the override button but I would like to get rid of the auto for good. It's a 2000 Silverado.

As far as the auto headlights I know theres a way but i dont know how!! With the Tow haul button when are you trying to push the button? While in motion or while at idle?

thats for the headlights.....as for the tow mode...check the indicator light in the dash...i think the circuit is the same for the tow haul mode as the pcm power so you wouldnt be able to go if the fuse was blown.....

I have headr of the wires that go to the switch break in the steering column down near the dash. There was a thread about this but i can not remember if it was in here or the ck fourm but if you remove the panels beside the steering column basically the wires break because of the tilt.

Thanks guys for the information. I'm going try that on the lights with the resistor and check the things on the tow mode. I did try it both ways in motion and stopped. I tow a bobcat and on my other trucks I would tow in third but I would like to have the tow mode. Thanks again.

That resistor mod works like a charm for the headlights. I did it on mine over a year ago and havent had any problems at all.
