ok. i drive a 99 civic SI wit 130,000 miles, i bought the car like 3 dayz ago, it's SWEET... except when i drive really fast/ race (LOL) i notice there is a weird sound at like 5500 rpms, like it gets LOUDER, my buddy Shawn says it could be bad pistons or something, or like my oil is bad, i dunno! but im scurred! i didn't spend 17,000 bills for dis car to die on me! any help! thanks!

anyway, my car is blue elctron pearl, AEM intake, sweet headers, wit 18 inch rims (white), clear tail lights, sweet dark tint 4.75 inch muffler! (gettin it ready for da turbo)... it's gonna have like around 400 wheel horsepowa when im done wit her...
right now, it prolly has like 190 hp, i beat my buddy's RSX type S yesterday sooooo easily

Well... since no one has explained it yet...
ITLNstallion818- the sound you are hearing is your VTEC (Variable Timing, Electronic Controlled) kicking in. This is a good thing- it basically gives you two different timings, one for low end power and one for high end power. It's a trick that Honda, and other manufacturers (under different names) have used for a while. Do a search on it if you want to know how it works.
And please, tell me you didn't spend US$17,000 for a car with 130k miles on it! You got ripped off, if you did.
